The Unfit Office
In this podcast episode, I refer once again to the German Foreign Pensioners' Office in Augsburg, Swabia. It is shown that the Bavarian and Swabian office is steeped in religious group dynamics. The local clergy and nobility have a considerable influence over the work, mindset and behavior of civil servants. In Bavaria and Swabia, the offices are hardly secular, but the wider social and religious context plays a significant role in the civil service. In practical terms, this means that everything must always be done for the benefit of the Bavarian, Roman or Swabian people. Anyone who is in conflict with the local ruling people is sooner or later confronted with harassment and discrimination.
