In this podcast, I talk a bit about Henning’s formative years. He moved out of his parent's house at the age of 20 to move to Karlsruhe in the Baden region to start studying at the university. Some turbulent years followed for the young man, not only due to health problems that began to manifest themselves clearly when Henning turned 21. Did this mean that dropping out of university and thus choosing a different career was appropriate? Would the profession of a tram driver be honorable and suitable for leading a people to greater freedom? Was the railroad network in Karlsruhe a marvel of intellectual and spiritual sophistication?
