Conflict Resolution

Hello and welcome! My name is Henning Dierolf, and I am the host of the Heyrolf podcast.

In today's podcast I talk about conflict resolution. What is the actual and best path to world peace? How is all the hatred in this world ultimately put to an end?

On January 16, 2025, in Malta, in San Gwann, the German Henning thought more deeply about his Serbian painter, Igor. Henning and Igor worked together for eight years while Igor painted all the paintings of the Heyrolf art exhibition.

Henning thought that he had started to think like Igor and then came to the conclusion that this would probably not be good for him in the end.

In Igor's worldview, the best idea is always to support and strengthen the people who are most negatively affected by one's own people from one's own point of view.

Igor and his sister were Croatian at heart, even if Igor never really admitted it to himself. His mother died early when he was a small child.

As a result of the loss of his biological mother, Igor developed a great desire to be close to the Serbs and to compensate for the loss of his mother. In addition, Igor had been diagnosed with a heart defect, which meant that he had to take medication for the rest of his life.

In his early twenties, Igor had become addicted to synthetic hallucinogenic drugs in addition to his heart medication. He was in the throes of a life crisis and later said that his soon-to-be wife, with whom he then fathered a son, was crucial in freeing him from this difficult, almost hopeless situation. It was a bit as though she had been a saving angel. She was so good and had saved his life! She was a true Serbian through and through!

Through the procreation of his Serbian son, Igor finally became a new little Igor in flesh and blood, who was now a true Serb at heart, who truly belonged to the Serbian people.

There has been a great conflict between the Croatian and Serbian peoples for a long time. During the Yugoslavian war, it even erupted into a war in the secular realm. Ultimately, it was the end of “Yugoslavia” and Croatia became an independent nation.

The love between the two peoples is founded on hatred.

According to Igor, marrying a woman from the enemy people and having a child with her, who is, therefore, Serbian at heart, is the best idea and very logical.

It would secure and justify Igor's existence in Serbia.

By strengthening the opposing party, the one that actually wants to wipe out one's own people, would earn a fulfilled life in Serbia.

But what if the Serbs are not the only people who are ultimately not well-disposed toward the Croatian people?

It doesn't always have to be so dramatic that one's biological mother is out to get you and then succumbs to the great religious group dynamics early on.

There is always someone who is radical enough that, for the sake of self-defense and their own survival, their demise becomes the desirable outcome.

These are wars and very hardened conflicts that have often existed for centuries.

The clergy are regularly the ones who fuel the fighting the most. They are the ones who are most fanatically interested in killing the enemies, wiping out and completely uprooting all those who are different at heart, love differently and have a different faith.

Is it a vicious circle?

When one's own people are held responsible for the death of a person from another people, but there is insufficient evidence to convict the accused people in public, then instinctively a person from a hated people who is most vulnerable and most open to attack is most condemned and punished. Vengeance is then taken on him.

In this context, the clergy are usually the ones who are the most unapproachable and, thus, always get away with it.

The more someone knows about the incidents and speaks about them, the more likely everyone is to blame him, see him as evil, and then become driven to prove his guilt, condemn him once and for all, and punish him.

The actual authors of the aggression (like the clergy) that led to fatalities usually go unpunished.

Someone more vulnerable is usually chosen as a Judas or scapegoat to be sacrificed. He is supposed to take all the blame upon himself. Most of the time, the person was the one who had the best intentions, the most diplomatic, the one who wanted to bring light into the darkness and who strived for peace the most.

According to Igor, one had to set an obvious and protective sign to avoid one's own death and instead make a higher peace possible.

One must become impartial toward all hostile and benevolent parties in this endeavor.

This could mean drawing close to a people that is the most hated of all peoples in the world.

One should become one of them, those who are most ostracized in the course of history and also in the present.

The love of most peoples is founded on hatred in regard to which people?

Is it the Jewish people?

Konfliktlösung

Hallo und herzlich willkommen! Mein Name ist Henning Dierolf und ich bin der Gastgeber des Heyrolf-Podcasts.

Im heutigen Podcast spreche ich über Konfliktlösung. Was ist der eigentliche und beste Weg zum Weltfrieden? Wie wird all dem Hass auf dieser Welt letztendlich ein Ende gesetzt?

Am 16. Januar 2025 dachte der Deutsche Henning in San Gwann auf Malta tiefer über seinen serbischen Maler Igor nach. Henning und Igor arbeiteten acht Jahre lang zusammen, während Igor alle Gemälde der Heyrolf-Kunstausstellung malte.

Henning dachte, dass er angefangen hatte, wie Igor zu denken, und kam dann zu dem Schluss, dass dies am Ende wahrscheinlich nicht gut für ihn sein würde.

In Igors Weltsicht ist die beste Idee immer, das Volk zu unterstützen und zu stärken, das aus der eigenen Sicht am meisten von dem eigenen Volk negativ betroffen ist.

Igor und seine Schwester waren im Herzen Kroaten, auch wenn Igor sich das nie wirklich eingestanden hat. Seine Mutter starb früh, als er noch ein kleines Kind war.

Durch den Verlust seiner leiblichen Mutter entwickelte Igor den großen Wunsch, den Serben nahe zu sein und den Verlust seiner Mutter zu kompensieren. Außerdem wurde bei Igor ein Herzfehler diagnostiziert, was bedeutete, dass er für den Rest seines Lebens Medikamente einnehmen musste.

Mit Anfang zwanzig wurde Igor zusätzlich zu seinen Herzmedikamenten süchtig nach synthetischen halluzinogenen Drogen. Er steckte in einer Lebenskrise und sagte später, dass seine zukünftige Frau, mit der er damals einen Sohn zeugte, entscheidend dazu beigetragen habe, ihn aus dieser schwierigen, fast hoffnungslosen Situation zu befreien. Es war ein bisschen so, als wäre sie ein rettender Engel gewesen. Sie war so gut und hatte sein Leben gerettet! Sie war durch und durch eine echte Serbin!

Durch die Zeugung seines serbischen Sohnes wurde Igor schließlich zu einem neuen kleinen Igor in Fleisch und Blut, der nun im Herzen ein wahrer Serbe war, der wirklich zum serbischen Volk gehörte.

Zwischen den kroatischen und serbischen Völkern herrscht seit langem ein großer Konflikt. Während des Jugoslawienkrieges brach er sogar in einem Krieg im säkularen Reich aus. Letztendlich war dies das Ende von „Jugoslawien“ und Kroatien wurde eine unabhängige Nation.

Die Liebe zwischen den beiden Völkern wurde auf Hass gegründet.

Laut Igor ist es die beste Idee und sehr logisch, eine Frau aus dem feindlichen Volk zu heiraten und mit ihr ein Kind zu haben, das im Herzen serbisch ist.

Es würde Igors Existenz in Serbien sichern und rechtfertigen.

Durch die Stärkung der gegnerischen Partei, die eigentlich das eigene Volk auslöschen will, würde man sich ein erfülltes Leben in Serbien verdienen.

Aber was, wenn die Serben nicht das einzige Volk sind, das dem kroatischen Volk letztendlich nicht wohlgesonnen ist?

Es muss nicht immer so dramatisch sein, dass die eigene leibliche Mutter einem nach dem Leben trachtet und dann schon früh der großen religiösen Gruppendynamik erliegt.

Es gibt immer jemanden, der radikal genug ist, dass sein Untergang zum Wohle der Selbstverteidigung und des eigenen Überlebens zum wünschenswerten Ergebnis wird.

Es handelt sich um Kriege und sehr verhärtete Konflikte, die oft seit Jahrhunderten bestehen.

Die Geistlichen sind regelmäßig diejenigen, die die Kämpfe am meisten anheizen. Sie sind diejenigen, die am fanatischsten daran interessiert sind, die Feinde zu töten, alle, die im Herzen anders sind, anders lieben und einen anderen Glauben haben, auszulöschen und vollständig zu entwurzeln.

Ist das ein Teufelskreis?

Wenn das eigene Volk für den Tod eines Menschen aus einem anderen Volk verantwortlich gemacht wird, es aber nicht genügend Beweise gibt, um das beschuldigte Volk öffentlich zu verurteilen, dann wird instinktiv eine Person aus einem verhassten Volk, die am verwundbarsten und anfälligsten für Angriffe ist, am meisten verurteilt und bestraft. An ihm wird dann Rache geübt.

In diesem Zusammenhang sind es in der Regel die Geistlichen, die am unnahbarsten sind und daher immer ungestraft davonkommen.

Je mehr jemand über die Vorfälle weiß und darüber spricht, desto wahrscheinlicher ist es, dass alle ihn beschuldigen, ihn als böse ansehen und dann dazu getrieben werden, seine Schuld zu beweisen, ihn ein für alle Mal zu verurteilen und zu bestrafen.

Die eigentlichen Urheber der Aggression (wie die Geistlichen), die zu Todesfällen geführt haben, bleiben in der Regel unbestraft.

Als Opferlamm oder Sündenbock wird meist jemand Schwächeres ausgewählt. Er soll die ganze Schuld auf sich nehmen. Meistens war diese Person diejenige, die die besten Absichten hatte, die diplomatischste, diejenige, die Licht ins Dunkel bringen wollte und die sich am meisten nach Frieden sehnte.

Laut Igor musste man ein offensichtliches und schützendes Zeichen setzen, um den eigenen Tod zu vermeiden und stattdessen einen höheren Frieden möglich zu machen.

Man muss in diesem Bestreben allen feindlichen und wohlwollenden Parteien gegenüber unparteiisch werden.

Das könnte bedeuten, sich einem Volk anzunähern, das von allen Völkern der Welt am meisten gehasst wird.

Man sollte einer von ihnen werden, einer von denen, die im Laufe der Geschichte und auch in der Gegenwart am meisten ausgegrenzt werden.

Die Liebe der meisten Völker gründet auf Hass gegenüber welchem Volk?
